sacrifice his life for not to betray the partisans, but Miftar with the aim of revenge kills Krste's grandson. At that moment an eager fight
starts in which, the third partisan finds shelter in the nearby mosque and, takes part too. The attack of the whole town starts and the
liberators enter the town.
Resume: No single feature film was shot in the period between 1961 and 1964. But it was a chance to sum up the possibilities for
its more successful and more continuous treatment. After "Wolf's Night" the film " Under the Same Sky" deals again with a theme of Revolution
and the People's Liberation War. The screenplay was written by Boshkovski and it does not represent a significant contribution to the genre.
But it is an obvious attempt to make new discoveries in this field. In this respect the screenplay is intoned as a psychological drama which
has its roots in the war. It is located in a small place in West Macedonia immediately after the capitulation of Italy, but before the place
was liberated by the People's Liberation Army. A party of partisans illegally staying in the town murder the brother of the Balist leader in
order to set some prisoners, members of the detachment, free and make signals to attack. This incident becomes a catalyst for the remaining
dramatic action. Its psychological development, following the dramatic progression, becomes dependent on the fact that a word has been sent to
liberate the place, but also because the illegal partisans have been put out of action. Namely, two of them take shelter in the home of a man
supporting the movement, while the third one is cast on the minaret of the mosque nearby.
Thus organized, the action necessarily moves in one field of psychology. The two, nowadays famous, directors Ljubisha Georgievski and Miomir
Stamenkovic made their debut with this film. Their tiring work, in its procedure as well as in its results, looks like a lengthy sequence of
aesthetic compromises, which do not always fit appropriate places. It consequently affects the interpretative side of the film. Still, the
actor's achievements are remarkable, among which the most persuasive were Dragomir Felba, Jovan Milicevic, Nada Geshovska Darko Damevski,
Vesna Kraina, Dragan Ocokolic, Jovan Ranchic, Marko Todorovic, Kiril Cortoshev, Bekim Fehmiu, Branka Zoric and Slavko Simic. The camera of
Branko Mihailovski was fully standard in order to achieve realistic visual effects of the film's action. All through the film the art director
Dime Shumka follows the realistic needs for creating a familiar local color. The same is to be said about the accompanying music, which was
composed by Tomislav Zografski. "Under the Same Sky" was an unremarkable achievement, but it marked the end of the long stagnation in film
production. It evidently pointed out that continuity in the film production was a necessity and it is only in these frames that the
long-wished for creative development of Macedonian feature film production could be carried out.
