Content: The title of the second story of "Light Gray," "Wonderful World," is inspired by the song with the same title sung
by one of the characters throughout the whole movie the thus irritating everybody else. Ringo, a drummer without a permanent job lives in
permanent conflict with his wife, and eventually decides to leave home taking with him the only thing that matters to him -- his drums
loaded on a baby cart. Slava (Glory,) a woman with no identity, a permanent victim of domestic violence, finally decides to leave home
and the husband that beats her to start a new life. Doste, a homosexual betrayed by his boyfriend, disappointed, wanders about outside
aimlessly. These three meet and continue their journey together; they arrive at a guesthouse and are accommodated in a room with
several-beds. In this room there sleeps a totally strange and exhausted tramp. Ringo, Doste and Slava go to the restaurant to try and get
food. In the ambiance of the low down restaurant sings Brankica, whose charm is irresistible to Cvetko who has only one desire - to
conquer the singer. Trendafil, the waiter who meets all kinds of losers every day, irritates the guests with his behavior. The three
newcomers connected to each other in an unclear way and in a strange symbiosis, encounter incredible situations in their search for love
in their undefined life stories.
Resume: The project entitled "Light Gray" is of the latest enrichments of Macedonian feature film production. We can
certainly say that this omnibus of three young directors all of them in the final year of their interdisciplinary studies in direction at
the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the young author of the screenplay, a graduate in dramaturgy from the same faculty undoubtedly came to
refresh the exhausted standards of Macedonian feature film production.
Again we have a film created with the considerable efforts made by its executive producer, TFRZ Pegaz, and its chief animator the
experienced production manager Panta Mizhimakov. The participation of authors from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, who reached the official
standards of production and thus rather painlessly faced the non-academic cinematographic practice, was of just as great importance for
this intelligently designed and, above all, bold production enterprise.
This is an omnibus that consists of three stories based on the original script by Dejan Dukovski. These three stories are "An Urubu Bird
and a Virgin", "Wonderful world" and "Devil in the Heart". These three stories were directed by Aleksandar Popovski, Srgjan Janicijevic
and Darko Mitrevski, under the guidance of their professor Stole Popov.
On the creative plan, in all of these stories we feel the striving to find the most adequate expression of the suggested topic.
However, all of them are directed towards different genres despite the fact that they are characterized with a proximity to the current
cinematographic trends in the world.
This promising production is best aesthetically complemented by the achievements of the cameras of Brand Ferro, Apostol Trpevski and
Vladimir Samoilovski. The accurate editing was accomplished by Spase Tasevski, Dimitar Grbevski and Laki Chemchev.
Parts of the somewhat heterogenic cast are: Stevo Spasovski, Sinolichka Trpkovska, Aleksandar Chaminski, Vlado Jovanovski, Nikola
Ristanovski and Jovica Mihajlovski.
