Synopsis:
The story speaks about the people who want to work, or want to change the world into a better place to live. All the characters in this film have no existence outside the imagination of the author and are inspired by the Balkan way of living.
This is a story about the illusions of the Don Quixotes of the Balkans and their life style. Georgij is one of these. He is young, enthusiastic, well-mannered and a charming and committed teacher with an invincible spirit who wants to bring all innovations from the New World, which is Europe, to the Balkans. He opposes traditional Balkan skepticism and does not accept the status quo. During his stay in France, a young French girl, Sara falls in love with him. She could not forget him and her feelings towards him and decided to leave her comfortable life and the French salons and go to the Balkan to meet the love of her life, Georgij. She embarks on this trip in spite of the warnings of her friends around her that the Balkans was a dangerous place.
Sodo is a bandit by trade but with a tender Balkan soul, who also is under the spell of Sara and falls in love with her at first sight. He suffers with the pangs of love, although this love makes him into a better man, who brings her flowers with a childish innocence.
However, Sara decides to leave the Balkans, the same way in which she came, leaving the village and those who live in it, to go on with the same unchangeable monotony. In the Balkan Inn, everybody can come whenever they want, leave whenever they want, and do whatever they want...
