Synopsis:

 

A documentary about the life and the career of Vanja Lazarova, legendary and internationally-recognised performer of Macedonian traditional songs.  She was the first Macedonian singer to record for the Philips label, the only one to perform in for Queen Elizabeth and Sir Winston Churchill at the Royal Albert Hall, and was also heard in the film ‘Before the Rain’ A promoter of Macedonian traditional songs around the world, Vanja is viewed by many as the Macedonian equivalent of Cezaria Evora For Vanja, singing was as normal as breathing is for the rest of us...
